When Jesus left, He gave His followers a clear assignment—to share the message of His life, death and resurrection with the rest of the world—and to help them follow Him (Matthew 28:18-20).

In the fall of 2012, we began to sense God calling us to take some new steps to share Christ with others more effectively. The first step was to learn more about how to build authentic, intentional relationships with those who don’t know Christ to help them take the next step in their journey toward Christ and to invite them to come and explore Christ with us at Rocky Peak.

It also became clear that we needed to refresh and enlarge our campus to create more space for the people God was already bringing to Rocky Peak. So, in the fall of 2012, we introduced a new weekend teaching series called “The Assignment”, and we also launched a new construction campaign to raise the funds to start the renovation of our campus.

God met us that fall in some amazing ways, and just two years later, we finished the remodels of several of our environments including our Worship and Kids Centers and The Summit. These changes allowed us to almost double our capacity in the Worship Center, create a fresh kid-friendly environment in our Kids Center, and some additional space for mid-size meetings. Since that time, we have continued to refresh our campus one environment at a time including The Ridge, The Vista, and some of our offices.

In the future, we plan to continue updating our campus by creating more great environments where we can invite others to explore Christ and pursue Him with us. If you would like to help with this project above your normal tithes and offerings, simply choose “The Assignment” when you give online or write “The Assignment” on your check or offering envelope.
