January 28 and 29 at 7pm

Join us at our next Encounter for a night of worship and prayer as we focus on the Kingdom of God and prepare for the new year. This Encounter will also include a brief vote on our 2026 proposed budget and elders.

This time, we are offering two Encounters to create enough space for everyone who wants to participate. We suggest that all Wednesday Life Groups attend the Wednesday Encounter, and all other Life Groups attend on Thursday. However, this is just a suggestion to help balance attendance—you’re welcome to attend either or both nights.

Please note that childcare will not be available for this event, so we encourage you to make your plans early so you can join us!

Monday

The Kingdom of God
Michael Yearley

As we prepare for Encounter this week, Pastor Michael unpacks the heart of Jesus’ message about the Kingdom of God. This conversation explores what the Kingdom meant in Jesus’ time, why it is both present and future, and how Jesus used parables to invite people into life under God’s rule.

Tuesday

The Short Stories
Tricia Lawley

As we continue preparing for Encounter, Tricia Lawley explores how Jesus used parables to reveal the values and surprises of God’s Kingdom. This conversation looks at why stories were such a powerful teaching tool, how they challenged religious expectations, and how they invite us to listen, reflect, and respond as disciples.

Wednesday

The Proverbs, Similes, and Illustrations
Joel Enyart

Joel Enyart helps explore the shorter, often-overlooked parables and sayings Jesus used to describe God’s Kingdom. This conversation looks at familiar phrases about the mustard seed and new wine, unpacking their original context and showing how Jesus envisioned a Kingdom that grows slowly and invites trust-filled obedience.
