Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
The Church at Rocky Peak cares about the people who visit our website as much as the people who walk through our doors. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
The Church at Rocky Peak, 22601 Santa Susana Pass Road, Chatsworth, CA 91311. You can reach us at info@rockypeak.org or 818.709.0113 with any question about this policy or about information we hold for you.
Information we collect
Almost everything we know about you is something you chose to tell us. That includes:
- Information you give us when you fill out a form, send a prayer request or question, register for an event or class, sign up for a Life Group, volunteer, or create an account on our site.
- Giving information when you make a donation, so we can record your gift and send your contribution statement.
- Account information if you sign in, so we can show you your registrations, groups, and giving history.
- Basic technical information that every website receives, such as the pages you visit and the general type of device and browser you use. We use this only to keep the site working well.
How we use it
We use what you share to do the things you asked us to do: answer your question, sign you up, connect you with a ministry or group, record your gift, and keep you informed about the parts of church life you have asked to hear about. We also use it in aggregate to understand which parts of the site are useful and which need work.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the church — our church management system, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider — and only so they can perform that work for us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Giving and payments
Online gifts are processed by a secure payment provider. Card and bank account numbers are handled by that provider and are not stored on our website. We keep the record of your gift so we can issue your giving statement.
Email and text messages
If you subscribe to The View or another list, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can use it at any time. We send text messages only to people who have asked for them, most often about an event they registered for.
Children and students
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through this website. Information about children in our kids and student ministries is provided by a parent or guardian at check-in or registration, and we use it only for the care and safety of those ministries.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between pages. Ours are used for simple, practical reasons:
- Necessary cookies keep you signed in, hold your place as you move through the site, and remember the choice you made about cookies. The site does not work properly without them.
- Video cookies are set by YouTube and Vimeo when a message or replay actually plays on one of our pages. They belong to those services, not to us.
The first time you visit, we ask whether you are happy to accept all cookies or only the necessary ones. We remember that answer so you are not asked again on every page. If you choose necessary only, videos on our site wait for you to click before they load. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie Settings link, and your browser also lets you block or delete cookies for any site.
We measure website traffic on our own servers rather than through an advertising network. We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
Links and embedded content
Our site links to other places — sermon videos, registration providers, the church app, social media. Once you follow a link or play an embedded video, that service's own privacy policy applies to what happens there.
Keeping information safe
We limit access to personal information to the staff and volunteers who need it to serve you, and we rely on established providers with their own security practices for giving, email, and our church management system.
Your choices
You can update your own details at any time by signing in to your account, or by contacting the church office. If you would like to know what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to remove it, email info@rockypeak.org and we will help. Some records, such as giving history, we are required to keep for accounting purposes.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
