JD Cunningham - Pastor of Worship Arts

JD Cunningham came to Rocky Peak in May of 2007. As Pastor of Worship Arts, JD oversees the production of our weekend worship services, the worship teams, and technical arts. JD grew up in Texas and earned a B.A. in business with an emphasis in music and music business at Belmont University in Nashville.

JD worked with several music companies in Nashville, and has had the opportunity to sing, play, produce and/or tour with many of the top artists and producers in Nashville.

After 14 years in the music business, JD left the industry and became the Music Director at Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since then, he also served as the Music Director at Central Christian in Las Vegas and the Worship Arts Pastor at Firewheel Bible Fellowship in Garland Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

JD and his wife Celeste have been married for over seven years, and have a three-year-old son, Colin. Celeste has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of New Mexico. She served on staff at both Hoffmantown Church and Central Christian. The Cunningham’s currently live in Simi Valley.
